About Lisa Adkinson

As a business strategist, Lisa has facilitated strategy development with more than 200 companies since founding Lisa B. Adkinson, Inc., her own consulting firm in 1996. Her work has been focused on working with management teams in a variety of industries to develop and implement strategies for growth.

In the past four years, Lisa has taken Cincinnati MD Resource Center, a community-based physician recruiting and retention support service from concept, through the planning phases, and into implementation. She developed and launched the first phase, CincinnatiMDjobs.com in August 2004 and launched the Center in January of 2005. The Center has already greatly exceeded the goals established in the 5 year plan. This project is part of a community initiative by the Health Improvement Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati.

Lisa has worked with Consolidated Health Services, a subsidiary of TriHealth, facilitating strategic planning and implementing key strategic initiatives for American Nursing Care, Patient Transport Services and AmeriMed. She has helped them implement the Balanced Scorecard methodology in all three companies as a measurement system for the strategic plan. Lisa has also worked on projects for Mercy Health Partners in Cincinnati and for a health care insurer client locally.

Lisa was a presenter in the “e-Business Experts Series” for the University of Cincinnati and was an instructor for the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce’s Strategic Eight Planning Process for five years.

Previously, Lisa spent seven years as CEO of Inner Applications, an office interiors firm she owned. She served as President and Chair of the Board of Women Entrepreneurs Inc., a non-profit organization serving small business owners, received the “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 1992, served on Ohio’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council in 1994, and was selected as one of the area’s Top 40 Business Leaders under 40. She has been featured in the Small Business Journal’s issue on Women in Business, quoted in Dorothy P. Moore’s book “Women Entrepreneurs, Moving Beyond the Glass Ceiling” and Inner Applications was listed as one of the top twenty women owned businesses in Cincinnati.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph and pursued graduate business studies at Xavier University.
